Choosing an amount
How many coins do you actually need?
Most people overbuy or underbuy because they guess. A few minutes in the Web App or Companion App fixes that: search the Transfer Market for the player or upgrade you have in mind and note the Buy Now prices you see. Add a margin, because a cheap listing can go before you reach it, and order the pack just above that total, or type the exact figure with Other.
Building a squad
For a whole new line-up, add up the prices of the players you want one by one. EA sets a price band for each Ultimate Team item, a lowest and a highest listing price, so no card can be listed below its floor or above its ceiling. If your budget is close to a pack size, the pack is the simplest choice; if it falls between two, a typed amount saves the difference.
Squad Building Challenges
Remember that a player handed in to an SBC leaves your club for good. If you buy coins to complete a challenge, buy for the exact cards it needs, and keep enough back for the next one rather than spending the whole balance on the first.
Selling later
If you plan to resell players, remember the tax: according to player guides, EA takes 5% of what the buyer pays, from the seller. Bought at 80,000, a card has to fetch 84,211 or more before you are back where you started.
One currency, many names
FUT coins, FC 27 coins, FIFA coins: what you are buying
Whatever the shop calls them, these are the coins of Ultimate Team, the club mode of EA SPORTS FC 27. Many people keep saying FIFA coins, since the series carried that name until EA rebranded it; others write FC coins, FC 27 coins, UT coins or FUT coins, after Football Ultimate Team, the name EA uses for the mode this season. It is one balance in one club, and a pack here is simply that balance topped up.
What coins are not: FC Points. Points are EA’s own paid currency, sold by EA and the console stores, and EA’s help pages treat them separately from coins. Coins are what you spend on the Transfer Market and earn from matches, Rivals, Champions and Squad Battles; they cannot be moved between platforms, accounts or seasons.

Two things slow it down: backup codes that run out, and a club whose Transfer Market is still locked. Sort both before paying and the wait is the stated time.
How safe
No seller can promise that EA won’t act: buying coins is against EA’s rules, whatever the price or speed. What you can control is exposure: the order needs only the login e-mail and backup codes, entered in the order form and nowhere else.
Turning on two-factor authentication first is what makes backup codes exist at all.

Questions about packs and amounts
What is the smallest amount of coins I can order?
The checkout takes orders from 100,000 coins on PlayStation, Xbox and PC. Below that the order button stays put and the form asks for a larger amount. Above it you can choose a ready pack from 100K to 2M or type an exact figure, and the price is worked out per thousand coins.
Can I order an exact number of coins instead of a pack?
Yes. Choose Other in the order form and type the amount, for example the price of the player you want plus a little spare. The pound and euro totals update as you type. The payment page opens with that amount already filled in, so there is nothing to change there.
Will my PS4 coins still be there when I move to PS5?
Yes. Your Ultimate Team club is the same on PS4 and PS5, so the balance follows you when you upgrade, and the same is true from Xbox One to Series X|S. Moving from PlayStation to Xbox, or from either console to PC, starts a different club with its own balance.
Why can’t I order coins for Nintendo Switch here?
The shop we send orders to only sells coins for PlayStation, Xbox and PC. Switch and Switch 2 share their own Ultimate Team club with no link to other platforms, and they trade on their own market, so console or PC coins would not reach a Switch club.
