The short version

Getting FUT coins cheap comes down to six choices

Prices between sellers matter, but most of the money you save or lose is decided by you: which platform you buy for, how many coins you take, how you pay, when you buy and how much you earn in the game first. None of it needs a trick or a code. Here is each step in the order you meet it.

1. Check the platform price on the day

Your club decides the platform, so this step only matters if you keep clubs on two of them, say PS5 and PC. In that case buy where today’s rate is lower: the price check lines up all three per 100K and is refreshed when you open it.

2. Buy the amount you will spend

Coins are priced per thousand, so a big pack has no discount. Search the Transfer Market on your phone (Companion App) or in a browser (Web App) for the players or upgrades you want, add a small margin to their prices and order that total. The Other button in the form takes any amount from 100,000 coins, so you don’t pay for a round number you don’t need.

3. Choose the payment with the lowest fee

The checkout shows the fee of each method beside its name before you pay. Card details are entered on a secure payment page, never here; USDT and USDC go to an address the checkout gives you and confirm by themselves; PayPal is possible if you ask support before paying. Compare the fees on the day, they are not the same for every method.

4. Mind the pound to euro step

The checkout charges euros. Our pound figures use the day’s rate, 0.835 per euro, but your bank converts at its own rate and some UK cards add a fee for payments in a foreign currency. A card without that fee, or crypto you already hold, keeps the final amount close to the estimate.

5. Watch the price for a few days

Our lowest morning reading was £5.13 per 100K on 30 Oct; this morning it was £6.22. Sellers move their prices often, sometimes within hours, so when nothing is urgent, watch the chart below for a few mornings and buy on a lower one. If you need coins for an SBC that closes tonight, the hour you save matters more than a few pence.

6. Earn part of the coins yourself

FC 27 is generous with coins: per EA, a Rivals or Champions match can now pay a multiple of what FC 26 paid, and a bigger share of rewards is tradeable. The Foundations objectives for new clubs also hand out coins and packs. Every coin you earn is one you don’t buy.

Coins from playing

Coins FC 27 gives you for playing

EA’s own list of fair ways to get coins, with what changed this season. These cost time, not money, and EA has nothing against them.

Division Rivals

EA Help gives 06:59 UTC on Thursday as the drop time for weekly Rivals rewards. This season the Division Rivals rewards hold more coins, and all their packs have been tradeable since launch; Bounties are back as well.

Champions

The Finals are 15 matches again and pay more coins than in FC 26. Qualification points come from Rivals or Squad Battles, and you no longer need to reach Division 6 first.

Squad Battles

Still in FC 27, against AI squads including Team of the Week line-ups you can replay, with weekly ranks and a Co-Op option. Rewards are up on last season.

Objectives and Foundations

The starter chain for new clubs runs from The Journey Begins up to Total Football, six groups in all, paying out players, packs and coins. Single-player Live Events pay through Objectives too.

Moments, Rush and Live Events

Moments swap Moment Stars for packs; Rush is a co-op small-sided mode; Tournaments, Gauntlets and Exhibitions rotate as Live Events. Every tradeable item they give can be sold.

Quick Sell and the market

Quick Sell pays out instantly for anything tradeable; a market sale fetches more, minus 5% for EA according to player guides. A quick sale made by mistake can be undone in the apps within 7 days, a few times a month.

What not to do

The kinds of cheap that cost more

Free coin generators and giveaways

Anything that promises coins for nothing and asks for your EA login is after the account, not offering coins. EA warns that sharing login details can lose you coins, items or the whole club, and that sending coins to a friend counts as coin distribution.

Deals in a private chat

A stranger offering a lower price in a direct message has no refund window and no order record. Keep the purchase on the checkout, where the order, the chat and the 21-day window are tied to your payment.

Bots and auto-buyers

Trading tools that buy and sell for you are banned by EA outright. Manual trading at fair prices is fine; automating it puts the club at risk for coins you could buy for a few pounds.

Forgetting EA’s rules

EA’s User Agreement bars trading currency for money. When EA acts, its list runs from wiping the coins and closing the market to a full ban. A cheap price does not lower that risk, so buy what you need rather than stocking up. More on this in our help pages.

Questions

Questions about paying less

How many coins can a week of playing bring in?

EA published weekly figures for FC 26 Season 1: Rivals paid 1,500 to 25,000 coins, Champions 2,000 to 85,000 and Squad Battles 3,000 to 20,000, depending on rank. FC 27 raised match coins several times over and made more rewards tradeable, so the same effort now goes further. Add Objectives and Quick Sell, and many players cover part of a squad.

When are FUT coins at their lowest price?

There is no fixed cheap day. The price is set by sellers and moves with supply, sometimes within hours. What helps is looking before you pay: the tags at the top of this page are checked live, and the home page chart shows the morning price for the last two weeks, so you can tell a dip from the usual level.

Which payment method costs the least?

The payment step lists a service fee beside every method, and whichever you choose is charged in addition to the coins. Compare the card, USDT or USDC and, if support sent you one, the PayPal request right there before paying. With a card, also allow for what your own bank charges on a payment in euros.

Can I earn coins instead of buying all of them?

Yes, and FC 27 pays better for it than FC 26. EA’s own list: play Ultimate Team matches, collect Rivals, Champions and Squad Battles rewards, Quick Sell tradeable items, and sell on the market at fair prices. Many players earn part of what they need and buy only the gap.

Are free coin offers worth a try?

No. Sites and messages that promise free coins usually want your EA login, which can cost you the whole club. EA also treats sending coins between accounts as coin distribution, against its rules. Your EA account e-mail and backup codes belong only in your order at the checkout.
